On the afternoon of Monday, October 14, 2024, His Excellency Minister HUOT Hak granted Mr. Liu Minglin, President of Yunnan Provincial Investment Holding Group (YIG), a parent company of Angkor International Airport, and his associates for a courtesy call and work discussion at the Ministry of Tourism. The purpose was to review the business situation, challenges, and the private sector’s contribution in developing the tourism sector to attract more foreign tourists to Cambodia following the COVID-19 pandemic; particularly the group’s plan to invest additional capital in the development of areas around Angkor International Airport into a multiple cultural, tourism and commercial complex as well as the introduction of a new tourism product.
